Europe has always captivated me with its mix of iconic landmarks and hidden treasures. Among the cities I’ve visited, Prague stands out the most when it comes to hidden gems. While the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square are undeniably stunning, what truly amazed me was a little spot called Vrtba Garden. Tucked away in the city’s Mala Strana district, it’s a beautifully preserved Baroque garden with incredible views of the city, and it felt like stepping back in time.

In Barcelona, while most people flock to Park Güell or La Sagrada Familia, I found peace at Bunkers del Carmel. It’s not as crowded, and the panoramic view of the city, especially at sunset, was unforgettable. I also stumbled upon hidden tapas bars that locals frequent, which gave me a real taste of the city’s vibrant culture.

Looking ahead to my dream destinations, Reykjavik excites me for its proximity to natural wonders like the Blue Lagoon and Diamond Beach, but I’m also eager to explore smaller, less-visited fishing villages on the Icelandic coast. Similarly, in St. Petersburg, I’m drawn not only to the grandeur of the Hermitage Museum but also to the quieter, historic streets and perhaps discovering a charming local café or bookstore.

Exploring the well-known and the hidden aspects of each city is what makes traveling so rewarding for me. It’s about finding the balance between iconic sights and those unexpected surprises that create unforgettable memories.
